Well Friday is here yet again and what a wonderful week it has been. The sun has been shining throughout our first birthday celebrations!!
This week’s extra special Friday question is going to get you using your imagination….and remember…as with all daydreaming…the sky’s the limit!
If you could hold a birthday party anywhere on Walt Disney World property (any park, resort, attraction) where would you choose and what would be your party theme?
The only restriction is that you CANNOT use Cinderella Castle…well, I had to make it a little more difficult, didn’t I?!
Now all good birthday parties come with presents don’t they? So to celebrate Daydreaming Disney’s first birthday we’ll be having our first GIVEAWAY on the blog!!!! Everyone who leaves an answer in the comments section below has a chance of winning. A name will be chosen at random and the winner of our first Daydreaming Disney prize will be announced next week!!!
*** UPDATED MONDAY JUL 30 @ 8.30PM – Congratulations to KAY whose name was selected at random to win the first ever Daydreaming Disney giveaway!!! Check out Kay’s Disney Olympic themed prize!!
Thanks to everyone for sharing your daydreams….more giveaways coming soon

Oo, I’d have my party in the ballroom of (my favorite ride) the Haunted Mansion!
Happy Birthday! Great question, I would hold my party at the Polynesian and the theme would be ‘pool party.’ We would eat at O’Hana, have a swim in the pool, catch a movie on the beach and then watch the Electrical Water Pageant followed by the fantastic Wishes!
My (daydream) ideal birthday party would be a mad hatters party at the tea cups in the Magic Kingdom and held at night!

The theme would be Alice in Wonderland and the food all cakes, buns in weird/wonderful flavours and MAD costumes worn, of course!
To end the night/party I would have the old Disney’s Electrical Parade and Mickey’s Premium Bar’s all round
Any birthday party is going to be a FAIL after this (imaginary) one…
I really had to think about doing something different.
For an overall theme, I think a western themed Mickey’s Backyard BBQ would be my choice. Since I have a winter birthday, heat would not be an issue.
A big birthday party, complete with Mickey print bandanas and cowboy hats, with Mickey ears attached, of course, would be fun for everyone!
Imagine everyone eating great BBQ and dancing with the characters, then walking to the dock to watch Wishes and the Electric Water Pageant.
Party favors would be attached to cowboy lassos… a roundup of Mickey krispie bars, Mickey lollipos, and a WDW ornament as a memory of the event!
Hmm… now I want this party!
My dream birthday party would be in Haunted Mansion Holiday with Jack as the host & an all Nightmare Before Christmas costume theme party. The Dj would be Oogie Boogie!!
What a great question! So many possibilities come to mind ha! Ok let’s see birthday at Disney world….I would have to say that it would start with a tropical pool party/happy hour at the polynesian, followed by dinner in the great movie ride (I had seen reviews of these special events and it looked like so much fun!) followed by a special dessert party while viewing fireworks at the magic kingdom. Complete with private monorail/boat/limo transportation between parks of course!
One of the scenes in Pirates of The Caribbean would be awesome.
I would chose the Cars section at Art of Imagination resort. Of coarse it would be hot rod themed.
Oooh, great question!! My first choice has been claimed
(Haunted Mansion–good call, Zahbria and HFBrainerd!), so I think I’ll go with the top of Bay Lake Towers for an exclusive Wishes viewing (for my theme, “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes”) and unlimited Monorail beverages from the Top of the World lounge
.
I would choose The Writer’s Stop in Hollywood Studios. It’s my favorite place on property for Coffee and snacks (carrot cookie anyone?) Perfect for a birthday party!!
Happy Birthday Daydreaming Disney!!
Steamboat Eddie
Pre dinner champagne in the lobby of the Grand Floridian listening to Christian Frederickson playing piano followed by dinner at V&A chef’s table with close family then a private viewing of Wishes on board the Grand Yacht!
ooooo im not sure, if i was a little person it would be a winnie the pooh theme at crystal palace, but now i would have one of the parties in the munkin land section of the great movie ride, obviously with a wizard of oz theme
Loving all of these awesome answers!!
My choice would be a street party down Main St in MK, all the characters would be invited and we could have treats from the various shops down Main St such as the bakery and ice cream parlour!!!
Since I like Adventureland, and Polynesian.
It would start off in Adventureland, again street party style like Emma’s. Dole whips and good food everywhere. The drums playing!
Everyone going on POTC.
Then back to Polynesian for dinner at ohana, everyone to wear a lei, swimming, and sitting on beach to watch wishes!
Not very adventurous but I’d probably just spend an afternoon touring World showcase sampling food and drink, meeting characters rounding off the evening watching Illuminations with the area between the U.K and France roped off
My birthday party would involve myself and as many people as I can persuade to join me to do the conga down main street whilst carrying buckets of goodies/sweets or helium balloons to give out to other people that we pass enroute. Then we would have dole whips
OMGoodness, I love this question! ( & in my imagination, I already have invites to all the above-mentioned parties!!
) ) …….So, my imaginary part on WDW property, would have to be DHS, the great movie ride….no….no….no….DHS, Beauty & The Beast stage show….hmm….scrap that….Its gotta be, Animal Kingdom, Kilimanjaro safari, dressed in safari gear…..followed by lunch in ‘Restaurantosaurus’, and a viewing of ‘Festival of the Lion King’, can I do all that at one party??
